Float Direct Support Professional

About the role

AHL HealthCare Group, a 2025 Minnesota's Best Senior Care Services Customer Service Silver winner and Best Assisted Living Bronze winner, is hiring Float Direct Support Professionals to train and work across its programs. The role involves acting as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver for individuals with disabilities or mental illness, supporting their right to live in the least‑restrictive environment and lead fulfilled, safe, and well‑cared‑for lives.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers
• Medication administration
• Documenting services provided daily in the electronic records and computer system
• Socializing with residents and doing activities with them
• Going to appointments with clients
• Training in all programs and filling in based on the program's schedule
• Traveling among various programs and receiving a week‑to‑week schedule, filling in as needed based on scheduling needs

Requirements

• 1 year of experience working in the field
• Ability to pass a MN DHS background study
• Every other weekend availability required
• Driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
• Working mobile phone to be reached during availability/scheduling window

Pay

Compensation $20.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on the program worked.

Schedule

Location: Annandale. Part‑time position with day, evening, or awake overnight shifts. Float DSPs receive a week‑to‑week schedule and fill in as needed across programs.
