Float APP Position - Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Lumberton

Position Summary

FastMed Urgent Care seeks an experienced Float Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to work full-time/part-time at assigned clinic locations, supporting clinic operations through direct patient care.

About the Role

The provider will be expected to travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support clinic operations. You'll be using your clinical skills and judgement to deliver fantastic care and create unforgettable patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute medical care to all patients
• Supports standards of care and complies with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
• Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray and laboratory tests
• Work independently and with a supportive team; interact with clinic managers and staff in a collegial and professional manner
• Accurately maintain patient's medical records and ensure confidentiality
• Participate in assigned meetings and training as directed
• Experience using Epic EMR
• Capable of performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Willingness to travel and work at assigned clinic locations; comfortable seeing patients of all ages
• Licensed (North Carolina) NP or PA from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• At least 2 years of experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred
• BLS Certified
• Possess active and unrestricted DEA license to practice in North Carolina
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members

Qualifications

• Experienced using Epic EMR
• Capable of performing other related duties as assigned

Other Float Providers

• Not eligible for “hot shift” incentive
• Not eligible for mileage reimbursement between assigned clinics (if asked to travel outside of assigned clinics, mileage reimbursement policy will apply)

Physical Demands

• Occasionally stand, walk, sit, lift up to 40 pounds
• Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Talk, hear, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls

Work Environment

• Exposure to various or unpredictable situations
• General sign off on adhering to all company policies and providing outstanding customer service
