Flight Shuttle Service Driver (CDL required)

About the role

Reporting to the Transportation Area Manager, the Flight Driver provides University students and faculty with transportation services. The Operations and Logistics Unit oversees the service area assigned to drivers. Once given a transportation route, drivers are responsible for arriving at their assigned destinations on time, which include Ambler and the surrounding campuses. Drivers must consistently provide timely, safe, professional, and courteous service and may perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services to University students and faculty.
• Follow assigned routes and arrive at destinations on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid commercial (CDL) US driver's license with a “P” endorsement for commercial bus driving and class (B) with air brake and passenger endorsements.
• Ability to drive manual stick‑shift vehicles and 50‑passenger buses.
• Must successfully complete a pre‑employment Department of Motor Vehicles background check, drug screen, and physical examination.

Skills

• Adequate reading and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a department‑administered driving test.
• Ability to pass a department‑administered lifting test.
• Ability to carry out snow removal, including mandatory overtime during snow removal and other emergency circumstances.

Pay

Hourly rate: $25.37

Schedule

Work shift: Sunday – Thursday, 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
