Flight Service Specialist

About the role

This Customer Service Rep will be responsible for coordinating hotel, ground transportation, and catering arrangements for pilots.

This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN. The position is anticipated to close on Oct 2, 2026. Workplace type is fully onsite in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities

• Respond to day-of-operations schedule changes and travel disruptions.
• Contact hotels and transportation providers to secure and confirm reservations.
• Monitor operational queues and assist in preventing service failures.
• Communicate with pilots, vendors, and internal operations teams.
• Utilize FedEx's proprietary systems to manage travel and lodging logistics.
• Support the Flight Service Desk team with administrative and operational tasks.
• Potentially handle pilot phone calls as training and experience progress.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience working in travel coordination, airline operations, hospitality, corporate travel or crew scheduling support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and performing data entry (60% of job is on computer).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
