Flight Paramedic

About the role

We are seeking a Flight Paramedic to provide advanced pre-hospital and intra-hospital emergency care during air transport operations. The role involves ensuring patient safety, delivering high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly for each flight.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide advanced life support care from initial contact through handoff at medical facilities.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and education.
• Keep licensure, certifications, and safety documentation current.
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings, debriefings, and safety procedures.
• Assist with pre-mission checklists and support pilot activities as needed.
• Ensure aircraft safety prior to liftoff and conduct safety briefings.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the relevant states.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; FP-C within 24 months of hire.
• Additional preferences include prior flight experience and instructor certifications.
