Flight Paramedic

About the role

We are hiring a Flight Paramedic to join a team dedicated to safe air transportation of patients and scene call work.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support care pre-hospital and intra-hospital, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Complete electronic patient care records promptly and conduct daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain competency in skills and certifications.
• Collaborate with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public, fostering positive relationships.
• Assist with pre-mission briefings, safety checks, and pilot support as needed.
• Fill shifts within the assigned area as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings.
• Current EMT-P license in the area, with required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months of hire; instructor certifications preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required depending on the location.
• Safety awareness, teamwork, and clinical proficiency in emergency medical services and aircraft operations.
