Aircraft Maintenance Technician II
Performs maintenance of an intermediate complexity on rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft systems and components at home base and satellite locations.
Proficient in effective and efficient troubleshooting and repair techniques to complete rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft repairs.
Applies comprehensive knowledge of complex regulatory requirements pertaining to rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft maintenance.
Works autonomously, with little supervision in a fast-paced work environment in a timely manner.
- Schedules, coordinates, and completes scheduled maintenance and inspections in a timely manner.
- May be required to complete RII inspections.
- Documents, maintains, and completes aircraft records in accordance with FAA and Intermountain requirements.
- Tracks aircraft inspection, component due times, and completion of tasks in computer database.
- Maintains company-owned special tools and equipment in good working order. Ensures calibration requirements are met.
- Aids as requested in the transport of equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to medical equipment.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends and new developments in the aviation field.
- Collaborates with Maintenance Control for scheduled and unscheduled events.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant certificate.
- Demonstrated experience working as an airframe maintenance technician, lead technician or aircraft maintenance supervisor.
- Minimum of 3 years working as an aircraft maintenance technician, lead technician or aircraft maintenance supervisor.
- Factory engine and airframe training in light/medium helicopters, turboprop fixed wing, transport category jet aircraft.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation related field.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment.
- Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
