Flexible Babysitter

About the role

Jovie is looking for experienced caregivers to provide care to local families on evenings and weekends. The flexible babysitting gig involves 3+ hour shifts Friday through Sunday, 4 pm–midnight, with duties such as meal preparation, arts and crafts, games, baking, outdoor play, bedtime routine, and staying with children until parents return.

Responsibilities

• Make and provide meals
• Engage children in activities (arts and crafts, board/card games, baking, outdoor play)
• Follow bedtime routine
• Stay with children until parents arrive home
• Maintain safety and adhere to CDC hygiene guidelines

Requirements

• Provide three references, two from childcare work
• Personal childcare experience (e.g., caring for younger siblings) – special needs experience a plus
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification
• Available for at least two shifts per week (Friday–Sunday, 4 pm–midnight)

Pay

Hourly wage: $16.50–$18.50 per hour

Schedule
