FLEX- Unarmed Security Officer - Aiken, SC

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from the premises when necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of their arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activities
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and emergencies, such as fires, injuries, or unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules and regulations are being enforced and followed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state licensing
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
• Occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time
