Description
The Patient Educator RN at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates health education programs for patients and community residents. They teach and provide support to patients based on their specific needs and learning abilities, coordinate patient education with other disciplines, review and update patient teaching materials, and assist patients in developing skills to manage their diseases through behavior modification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
- 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current RN License in the State of Practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of patient education principles and practices
- Basic understanding of health care policies and procedures
