Licensed Practical Nurse, Flex

Basic Purpose:

Provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including assessment, planning and implementation of patient care. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Mississippi Board of Nursing or compact state licensure as an LPN.
• Experience: One year of bedside licensed practical nursing experience required.

Special Skills:

• IV certification preferred.

Language/Communication/Organizational Skills:

• Ability to speak effectively and professionally to staff, management and outside individuals.

Mental/Physical Demands:

• Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand; talk, hear alarms; use hands and fingers to feel and touch; push; pull; crouch or crawl; stoop; kneel; reach with hands and arms; taste or smell.
• May be required to exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.
• This job has vision requirements, close, distance, and color. Must be able to identify and distinguish colors, have peripheral vision and the ability to judge depth perception.
