Flex Operator

About the role

As a Flex Operator, you will contribute to Johnson Matthey’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

• Process and fabricate precious metals to defined specifications using approved procedures
• Set up and operate production equipment including wire rod mills, bull blocks, and wire drawing machines
• Monitor equipment performance, change dies, and adjust processes to maintain quality standards
• Inspect products during production, correct defects, and escalate issues when required
• Weigh, record, and maintain accurate material and batch records to ensure full traceability
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while managing waste and scrap materials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
• Comfort working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
