Fleet Transporter

About the role

A Fleet Transporter at Raymour & Flanigan is responsible for picking up and delivering straight trucks and vans to Customer Service/Distribution Centers and dealerships. Yard shifter, inventory/parts control, and providing general facility support functions are also part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and with a team to pick up and deliver trucks and vans to various locations.
• Perform yard shifter duties as needed.
• Manage inventory and parts control tasks.
• Provide general facility support functions such as assisting with yard checks and performing light duty repairs.
• Assist in auditing and closing repair orders in the company’s computer tracking system.
• Ensure all vehicles are visually inspected and maintain accurate logs for all trucks/vans moved.

Requirements

• Excellent listening skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Accident-free driving record for the past 2 years.
• Pass all DOT required pre-employment criteria including a hair follicle drug test and criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
• Clean driving record.
