Fleet Trailer Technician - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Fleet Maintenance Trailer Technician, A Level, performs essential fleet maintenance focused on Trailer chassis assets, with exposure to other fleet equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, completing work orders, and supporting shop projects to maximize asset uptime and productivity, all while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and small repairs per internal and OEM specifications.
• Support team members by sharing technical knowledge and participating in ongoing training to achieve certification and technical proficiency.
• Assist in shop projects and ensure thorough documentation of work performed.
• Travel as needed to support maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of mechanical experience with knowledge of internal combustion engines and heavy-duty equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting lift-gates and performing preventative maintenance.
• ASE certifications preferred, with a basic understanding of mechanical principles and compliance with driver D.O.T. regulations.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing, and working in various warehouse environments.
• Strong attention to detail, high-quality workmanship, and pride in accuracy.
