About the Role
This is a full-time industrial-level auto-mechanic position, responsible for performing maintenance, running diagnostics, and repairing our medium to heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers. You will inspect fleet vehicles, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and play a crucial role in keeping our trucks safe and on the road.
Responsibilities
- Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, and hydraulics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED) required.
- ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic preferred.
- 2-4 years diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks and trailers required.
- Own set of tools and understanding of best practices for how to use required tools.
