About the role
The Fleet Technician position is available at Contract Lumber in Brownsburg, IN. This role offers a pay range of $28-$38/hr based on experience, Monday to Friday, 1st shift (flexible), 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime. Full benefits, profit sharing, and a 401K plan are included.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled maintenance to all company vehicles, commercial trailers, yard lifts, and truck-mounted forklifts
- Unscheduled repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on equipment, noting any defects and making repairs
- Up to 25% travel may be required
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to anticipate, analyze, and proactively solve problems
- Read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedures
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards
- Build positive relationships with both vendors and the team
- Appropriately prioritize tasks to meet varied and conflicting organization demands
- Work knowledge of materials and job-site processes used within the construction industry
- Knowledge of electrical components, hydraulic systems, gas, LP, and diesel engines
- Proficiency with computers and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to weld, torch, and use a plasma cutter
- Good organizational skills; detailed and accurate
- Leadership, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
- Willingness to take on responsibilities, challenges, and additional duties as required
- CDL license recommended, but not necessary

- Must possess knowledge with electrical components, hydraulic systems, gas, LP, and diesel engines
