Fleet Technician needed in the Great State of Indiana

About the role

The Fleet Technician position is available at Contract Lumber in Brownsburg, IN. This role offers a pay range of $28-$38/hr based on experience, Monday to Friday, 1st shift (flexible), 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime. Full benefits, profit sharing, and a 401K plan are included.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled maintenance to all company vehicles, commercial trailers, yard lifts, and truck-mounted forklifts
• Unscheduled repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on equipment, noting any defects and making repairs
• Up to 25% travel may be required
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to anticipate, analyze, and proactively solve problems
• Read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedures
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards
• Build positive relationships with both vendors and the team
• Appropriately prioritize tasks to meet varied and conflicting organization demands
• Work knowledge of materials and job-site processes used within the construction industry
• Knowledge of electrical components, hydraulic systems, gas, LP, and diesel engines
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to weld, torch, and use a plasma cutter
• Good organizational skills; detailed and accurate
• Leadership, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
• Willingness to take on responsibilities, challenges, and additional duties as required
• CDL license recommended, but not necessary

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge with electrical components, hydraulic systems, gas, LP, and diesel engines
