Fleet Mechanic/Technician

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Lake Worth, FL. The ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

• Physical demands: frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces
• Weather conditions: regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment, working at heights using ladders or elevated platforms, and working in various weather conditions
• Visual and auditory abilities: sufficient to safely navigate the workspace

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience)
• Pay frequency: Weekly pay - every Friday
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
