Job Duties
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Completes inspections in accordance with Federal, State, and Corporate guidelines.
- Maintains the fleet operation by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades as directed, controlling corrosion and proper lubrication on each PM cycle.
- Corrects light repairs and vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
- Performs tire repairs, replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off from vehicles as needed.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
- Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hire.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical with lift test.
