Fleet Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coaches and counsels drivers in areas of safety, performance, productivity and morale.
• Schedules and directs the work of drivers.
• Plans, assigns, and distributes daily work to drivers, coordinating loads, equipment, and backhauls to maximize fleet utilization.
• Develops daily delivery plans using equipment, manpower, and other resources to ensure an effective and efficient operation.
• Identifies and resolves delivery and scheduling issues through communication with customers, drivers, vendors, and other Ruan locations.
• Performs administrative tasks such as payroll, billing, driver counseling, and post-accident reviews.
• Reviews and analyzes operating performance.
• Uses Ruan transportation management systems to capture required operational data in near real-time.
• Maintains safety and compliance with company policies and regulations in all areas of the operation.
