Fleet Supervisor

Supervise all facets of driver and local fleet operations per policies and procedures set by the corporate office and regulatory requirements with a focus on meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, efficiency, and service. This may span multiple shifts. Day to Day Role Supervise and promote practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standardsTake ownership and demonstrate leadership necessary to achieve goals specific to Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee DevelopmentLead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safetyEstablish an environment that encourages employee engagement, participation and teamwork within and between all departmentsProvide continuous leadership and support to drivers to meet or exceed KPIsProactively seek and identify problems that need to be resolved and quantify the anticipated benefits of problem resolutionFacilitate problem solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causesSupervise, train and promote practices and processes intended to safely transport products and comply with appropriate laws and regulations, while meeting the company’s quality and safety standards to serve the needs of our customersProvide classroom instruction and on-road training to ensure driver performance meets regulatory compliance, policies, procedures, and safety cultureAdminister, monitor, and/or distribute training material to ensure staff is meeting or exceeding training and safety standardsMonitor, review and maintain Hours of Service regulationsFacilitate driver safety meetings per Corporate guidelinesUnderstand, support, and follow management expectations in alignment with company value Core Skills And Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess the following: 21 years of age minimumHigh school diploma or equivalentSupervisory experience and/or demonstrated strong leadership and management skillsValid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver License) and favorable driving record upon hiring and ability to maintain throughout duration of employmentCommercial Motor Vehicle driving experienceDisplay strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachableExcellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processesAbility to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and proceduresAbility to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processesExperience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPointStrong coaching and mentoring skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to identify issues, compare data, investigate, and resolve discrepanciesAbility to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization existsDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues Preferred Skills And Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in logistics, supply chain, or related field of study.
