About the role

The Fleet Operations Manager will oversee a fleet of vehicles for a major client, focusing on customer relationship management, cost-saving initiatives, and fleet optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed pre and post-in-service inspections of the fleet
  • Coordinate light detailing, washing, and cleaning of fleet units
  • Schedule and manage corrective mechanical and body repairs with third-party vendors
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel
  • Advise on activities to maintain the health of the fleet
  • Record all activities completed, whether by vendor or third-party vendor
  • Collaborate with the buyer and customer to improve the program and create efficiencies

Requirements

  • Experience managing vehicle fleets or general operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
  • Knowledge of fleet management best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or similar field
  • Experience with fleet management software

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
