Fleet Mechanic Truck Technician

Duties

• Use of Smartphone, Laptop, and Tablet Technology to Record all Repairs
• Repairs and Maintains Light & Medium Duty Customer Vehicles
• Some Heavier Class 8-9 Experience with Industrial and Heavy Equipment Helpful (e.g., skid steer, backhoe, farm tractors, trailers, ATV's, etc.)
• Standard Tech Owned Tools Required
• Major Shop Tools and Diagnostic Equipment is Provided
• Other duties may be assigned

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Moves frequently, stands, walks, and sits
• Uses hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Capsable of lifting and/or moving up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance
• Reads and writes detailed reports
• Enforces Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills in engines, brakes, electrical, and suspension systems
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for diagnostics and work order entry
• Must have own tools
• Allison Transmission experience is a PLUS

Certificates and Licenses

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• ASE certifications are a plus
