Fleet Manager II
This is an in-office, full-time position located at 2177 Flintstone Drive Suite N-P, Tucker, GA 30084. The role is not hybrid; daily reporting to a fleet location is required.
About the role
Our Fleet Managers oversee towing operations on a 24-hour basis to ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous towing, recovery, and emergency roadside service to all customers, clients, AAA, and affiliated Club members. As a Fleet Manager, you will lead a team of Fleet Supervisors, Dispatchers, and Drivers to ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Increase revenue by servicing existing clients and expanding the base of commercial towing accounts.
- Analyze and resolve member complaints concerning driver performance.
- Investigate and mediate damage claims.
- Monitor equipment repair or replacement, including ordering supplies and verifying payment.
- Monitor incentive bonus programs, including compiling data and preparing reports on program performance.
- Update maintenance files to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as rules change.
- Interview and hire new employees for the Fleet team at assigned locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to drive day or night for extended periods.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain DOT certification.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Qualifications
- Automotive industry and/or emergency roadside service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of towing procedures, vehicle operations, and equipment maintenance.
- Supervisory skills including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, decision-making, problem-solving, and performance management.
- Ability to interpret contracts and bid documents, with contract negotiation experience.
- College-level coursework in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Experience with operating towing equipment preferred.
Work Environment
Works in a temperature-controlled office environment with exposure to slightly dirty conditions. Occasional (up to 30% of work time) exposure to temperature extremes. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift or push to inspect vehicles and equipment.
Schedule
This is a 7-day operation with multiple shifts, which may require “on-call” duty at times.
Pay
Annual salary between $74,860 - $89,000. Pay rate will be determined based on experience and may exceed the starting rate.

- Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based on standard weekly hours scheduled and accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.
