Fleet Maintenance Supervisor _LV
About the role
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is a key position in our Las Vegas and Sparks, Nevada operations. You’ll lead the activities of the fleet maintenance department to ensure that fleet and heavy equipment is available, dependable, and safe at all times. You’ll oversee the fleet preventive maintenance (PM) program, reporting to our Fleet Maintenance Manager, and lead a team of Fleet Maintenance Mechanics at several locations. You’ll collaborate with commercial drivers, forklift drivers, dispatch, and plant leadership to ensure on-schedule, safe delivery of Jensen products.
Responsibilities
- Direct activities related to the fleet maintenance department.
- Plan and prepare work schedules.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and projects are completed according to expectations and within required timeframes.
- Maintain files on all forklifts, trucks, and trailers for maintenance, including repairs and costs.
- Ensure all trucks and trailers are DOT compliant.
- Plan and schedule ongoing preventive maintenance (PM) programs in compliance with company guidelines and government regulations.
- Provide guidance and technical advice to fleet maintenance employees and train them on proper fleet maintenance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated fleet maintenance experience (DOT requirements, diesel engines, brake systems, cranes, hydraulics, tractor and trailer maintenance), preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Combination of formal education (Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification and CDL) and at least four (4) years of solid on-the-job experience, including prior supervisory experience.
- Enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Lifelong learner with a career-focused mindset.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
