Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Summary Of The Role This position oversees equipment maintenance and repair for trucks, trailers, liftgates, yard trucks, and refrigeration units, ensuring safe and efficient fleet operations. Key responsibilities include managing repair mechanics, coordinating timely vehicle repairs, and handling breakdowns and accidents. The role involves maintaining compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies, conducting safety audits, and overseeing preventive maintenance. It also includes leading, coaching, and developing team members, managing the department budget, and optimizing parts inventory and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate possesses industry safety knowledge, strong communication skills, experience with fleet management software, and a background in fleet maintenance, especially refrigeration units. Physical ability to work in extreme weather and conditions is required to support operational needs.
