Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor oversees a maintenance shop responsible for preventive and corrective repairs of a fleet, machinery supporting post-collection facilities, and equipment servicing the container shop. Key Responsibilities Supervise technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repairs of trucks, containers, and heavy equipment.Plan and schedule maintenance work, monitor operational performance, and recommend process improvements.Conduct inspections, quality control, and oversee diagnostic and repair activities.Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Provide coaching, training, employee performance evaluations, and participate in hiring and disciplinary actions.Maintain technical expertise in engine, emission, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.Handle administrative duties including payroll, records, budgeting, and goal setting. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or G.E.D.ASE Certifications, including T2 Diesel, Master, and others.Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience and 1 year in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, safety regulations, and inventory management.Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
