Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II (Refrigeration)

About the role

T.G. Lee Dairy is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repair services on various types of fleet vehicles under both DOT and company regulations. The role involves performing preventive fleet maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic systems, and identifying root causes of vehicle failures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair services on fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic systems
• Identify root causes of vehicle failures
• Perform preventive fleet maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, and crawl for virtually the entire shift
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others
• Able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperature ranges
• Able to follow all required work safety practices
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Class A/B license preferred
• Transport Refrigeration and Trailer Truck experience preferred
• Must be computer literate and have experience with engine, ABS, transmission, etc., as well as diagnostic equipment and software
• Experience with manipulation of tools, equipment, and truck components
• Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Refrigeration license preferred

Negotiable depending on experience

Schedule

Sunday: 12 pm to 8:30 pm
Monday - Thursday: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
