We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of our fixed-route transit fleet. This dynamic leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our vehicles while overseeing all day-to-day maintenance operations.

Manage Maintenance Budgets
Drive Operational Excellence Through Effective Planning, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
Qualifications
- Talent Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of recent, relevant experience (within the last five (5) years) managing the maintenance operations of a transit bus maintenance facility similar in scope, size, complexity, and vehicle type.
- Proven Experience Managing and Directing a Team of 10 or More Maintenance Employees, Including Fleet Technicians, Service Workers, and Cleaners.
- Experience Overseeing the Maintenance of a Fleet of 50 or More Buses Within the Last Year.
- Previous Passenger Transportation Experience in a Fixed-Route Transit Operation or a Similar Environment Is Preferred.
- Demonstrated Ability to Effectively Manage and Maintain Strong Client Relationships.
- Experience Tracking and Controlling Parts Inventories While Managing Vendors and Suppliers.
- Strong Organizational Skills with the Ability to Prioritize Work, Implement Maintenance Schedules, and Manage Multiple Projects and Assignments Simultaneously.
- Proven Ability to Manage the Financial and Accounting Aspects of a Fleet Maintenance Operation, Including Budgets and Cost Controls.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills with the Ability to Interact Effectively with Employees, Leadership, Clients, and External Partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, Including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Technical Expertise in Light-, Medium-, and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Repair and Preventive Maintenance.
- Hands-On Experience Maintaining Fixed-Route Transit Buses.
- Solid Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) Programs, Compliance Audits, and Maintenance Best Practices.
- Experience Working with Diesel, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and Alternative Fuel Vehicles Is Highly Preferred.
- ASE and/or Manufacturer Certifications Are a Plus.
- Demonstrates Professionalism, Initiative, Sound Judgment, Candor, and Tact in All Interactions.
- Must Be Able to Obtain a CDL Class B Driver’s License with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements.
