Fleet Maintenance Manager

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program. The role involves managing daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, overseeing high volume repair orders, supervising shop operations, managing parts and inventory, reviewing repair estimates and invoices, coordinating with clients and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies, and analyzing maintenance data to recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime
• Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency
• Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented
• Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control
• Review repair estimates, invoices, and warranty claims for accuracy
• Cookordinate with clients, dealerships, and vendor service providers to ensure quality work
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies
• Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to operation

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience
• Strong technical/mechanical background (hands-on experience preferred)
• Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders
• Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• PREFERRED Qualifications: Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems, knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards

Pay

$95,000 to $105,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives

Schedule

Shift: Sunday-wed or Wed-Sat hours 11AM to 9pm
