Pay

$22.94 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift premium for second shift.

Schedule

2nd shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative Fueler/Washer at Penske, you’ll accelerate your career while helping customers move forward. You’ll ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and safe before they hit the road again. You’ll greet customers upon arrival and send them off with a smile, serving as the face of Penske. This role offers an opportunity to build foundational skills in vehicle maintenance, with potential to advance into a technician role. No prior experience is required—Penske provides training on vehicle maintenance processes and leading-edge technology.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and ensure a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles.
  • Perform vehicle readiness inspections, checking tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items.
  • Maintain clean and safe facilities for customers and associates.
  • Build skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs, such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outside.
  • Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management.
  • Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and safety best practices.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to work the required schedule and location, complete Penske’s employment application, submit to a background screening (including criminal checks, past employment, and education), and pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation.
  • Potential travel within a near geography for training.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Routine and daily use of hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, or operate tools and controls.
  • Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to see and hear to safely navigate the work environment, especially with large trucks moving through the workplace.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
  • Ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds on a regular basis.
