As a Fleet Maintenance Fueler Washer at Penske, you’ll ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and safe before they hit the road again. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and ensure they have a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles
  • Perform vehicle readiness inspections to check tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items
  • Maintain clean and safe facilities for customers and associates
  • Build skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs, such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and preventive maintenance
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to work outside
  • Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
  • Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper use of tools, PPE, and safety practices
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Must maintain a current driver qualification file, including an annual MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records from prior employers (last 3 years)
  • CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and be subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, complete a Penske employment application, submit to background screening (criminal, employment, and education checks), and pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation
  • Potential travel within a near geography for training may be required

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
  • Routine and daily use of hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, or operate tools and controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to see and hear to safely navigate the work environment with frequent movement of large trucks
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
  • Ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds on a regular basis

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety-sensitive by the company. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
