This is an entry-level opportunity for those interested in vehicle maintenance. No prior experience is required. Penske provides training on vehicle maintenance processes and leading-edge technology, offering a pathway to advance into a technician role. Responsibilities
- Greet customers and ensure a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles
- Perform vehicle readiness inspections to check tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items
- Maintain clean and safe facilities for customers and associates
- Build skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs, such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by a supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to work outside
- Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
- Ability to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and safety best practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Must maintain a current driver qualification file, including an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records from prior employers in the last 3 years
- CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and be subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (including criminal checks, past employment, and education), and pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation

Physical Requirements
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Routine and daily use of hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, or operate tools and controls
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
- Ability to see and hear to safely navigate the work environment, especially with large trucks moving through the workplace
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
- Ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds on a regular basis
