Fleet Maintenance Foreman

About the Role

As the Fleet Maintenance Foreman at Jensen Infrastructure, you’ll lead the fleet maintenance department to ensure fleet and heavy equipment is available, dependable, and safe at all times. You’ll oversee the fleet preventive maintenance (PM) program, reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, and lead a team of Fleet Maintenance Mechanics. You’ll collaborate with commercial drivers, forklift drivers, dispatch, and plant leadership to ensure on-schedule, safe delivery of Jensen products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of the fleet maintenance employees.
• Troubleshoot employee and fleet maintenance problems and recommend solutions.
• Assist drivers with vehicle issues and engage in interactive communication.
• Train employees in the operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies, monitoring comprehension and re-training as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including proper tool storage and routine housekeeping (e.g., cleaning, organizing).
• Inspect, diagnose, repair, operate, and maintain diesel trucks, forklifts, and moving equipment.
• Examine and inspect work progress to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections and maintenance of equipment, recording personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
• Advise supervisor of equipment needing attention.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with diesel engines, brake systems, and hydraulics.
• Proficient with basic tools to perform routine maintenance.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements.
• Safety-conscious for yourself and your team, avoiding shortcuts.
• Interest in building a long-term career, not just seeking a job.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification (preferred).
• Commercial Driver’s License (preferred).
• Forklift Driving Certification (preferred).
