Field Safety Supervisor Responsibilities
Maintains a safe and efficient operation by performing the following duties:
- Makes sure drivers complete pre and post-trip inspections and address equipment issues.
- Observes drivers for work readiness during road checks.
- Conducts IPP Safety contacts with drivers and addresses safety violations on the spot.
- Dispatches and drives routes as necessary.
- Assists management with driver interviews.
- Maintains on-time performance records.
Experience and Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience dealing with collision and injury claims a plus
- Prior School Bus Driver experience preferred
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
