Fleet Driver
About the role
The Fleet Driver will be responsible for operating company trucks and assisting with overall warehouse operations, including receiving incoming material, processing products, maintaining inventory, and packing outgoing material. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate company-assigned vehicle to pick up and deliver orders and inventory
- Obey all traffic laws and follow established transportation procedures
- Report any vehicle/mechanical issues to management immediately
- Do not operate vehicle prior to pre-check inspection and clearance
- Secure cargo and properly arrange product to avoid damage
- Load and unload orders and inventory from vehicle
- Maintain paperwork and receipts from deliveries
- Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers
- Comply with all federal and state regulations
- Maintain detailed log of working hours
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years prior driving experience with flat beds or stake trucks
- Valid driver’s License
- Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred
