Responsibilities

• Inspect diesel-powered Class 8 commercial highway tractors (semi-trucks) and commercial trailers used for freight transportation to identify mechanical and safety issues.
• Support fleet operations by inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, assisting with diagnostics, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of tractors and trailers.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic system problems using diagnostic tools, software, and manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify repair needs.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and assist in determining root causes.
• Assist with repair or replacement of parts, wiring, and components.
• Test and operate equipment to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Complete inspection reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair needs with operations and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain organized records for maintenance tracking and compliance.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
