Job Details Description Knowledge and Experience: Two (2) years of verifiable experience as a Fleet Care SupervisorResponsible for the supervision of a large group of employees engaged in Utility/Fuel work; ANDA valid driver's licenseAnalyze operating problems effectively and develop effective courses of actionSupervise and train personnel; effectively coordinate complex schedules and assignmentsAbility to read and write in English and follow written and oral instructions.Must be able to do basic math associated with chemical mixing, square footage of surfaces to be cleaned and labor related calculations.Must have an excellent attendance record and demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment. Must be computer literateExperience working with fleets and fueling vehiclesExperience with supervising employees Skills Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant Outstanding organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solvingMust be reliableMust work efficiently on teamMust have positive attitudeGood communication skillsMust be able to stand long periods of time, kneel, push, and pick up items up to 50 lbs Key Accountabilities Maintains efficiency in the yard and fuel island by assisting and delegating workload to Fleet Care Workers, fuelers and probersEnsure vehicle interiors and exteriors are cleaned and presentable (Floor, ceiling, handrails, windows, driver areas, exterior and wheels)Ensure vehicle interior cards are up to dateCommunicates with parts department to order suppliesCommunicates with maintenance and operations on special event vehiclesCommunicates with dispatch to identify all vehicles that went into service that dayCommunicates with maintenance to identify out of service vehicles and which ones are coming out of the shopCommunicates with the other supervisors/lead techniciansEnsure work area and utility cart storage area is clean at the end of shiftEnsures adequate supplies is available for all utility and fueler personalEnsure all fire lanes / emergency areas are coned off at the end of shiftReports all issues that may arise in the yard to Assistant Maintenance manager and/or Maintenance ManagerReports all accidents or safety concerns to Maintenance ManagerReports all issues with fuel island, wash bay and vehicle parking lotContact clean energy when issues arise at fuel islandEnsure all company policies and safety procedures are being followedMonitors and maintains utility, fueler and prober productivity levelsRecords and submits daily cleaning, fuel logs, and probing sheets to maintenance manager at the end of the shiftMust be able to work night shift and weekendsReports to management any emergency and its severity as requiredPerform frequent quality control inspections on cleanliness of vehiclesPerform daily meetings with Utility and fuelersEnsure employees take their breaks and lunches at correct timePerform other duties as requested Physical Demands And Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the job. All roles may entail, to varying extents, the following physical demands: Long periods (potentially exceeding 8 hours per day) of walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, twisting, squatting, handling materials, repetitive hand-wrist motions, and traversing uneven surfaces;Exposure to both extreme heat and cold;Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and airborne particles; In addition to the above demands inherent in every role, the following roles may entail unique physical demands, including: Operators/Drivers may work inside or outside vehicles and may operate vehicles for over 8 hours per day.Operations Supervisors and Managers may split their work between an office setting looking at a computer screen/electronic device and active transit field locations driving in a vehicle.Maintenance Employees may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals in a ventilated maintenance shop and may work with personal computers, laptops, electronic hand-held devices, complex electrical schematics, diagnostic software and testing devices, and other heavy machinery.Office Staff may work indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities, including offices and cubicle spaces equipped with a telephone and computer and may entail typing or looking at a computer screen.
