Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of truck loading.
- Prior to loading product, inspect truck trailers and railcars to ensure they are free from containments.
- Ensure different product types are distributed into the appropriate trucks and the proper weight is loaded for each shipment.
- Complete bill of lading for truck shipments.
- Train new employees on equipment related to load out and fuel charging areas.
- Cross train in other production areas as needed.
- Keep truck scales clean.
- Responsible for maintaining a water free environment at scales.
- Make minor adjustments to load-out related equipment.
- Complete daily equipment check reports.
Attributes
- Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Able to detect potential problems through observation in the field.
- Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes.
- Must have a telephone and be open to call-outs.
- Ability to operate computers and related controls.
- Self-motivated and must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to multi-task and be calm under pressure.
- Good decision-making skills regarding safety.
Physical Demands
- Must be capable of working shift work, overtime, seven days, or holidays, if needed.
- Occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds.
- May require heavy equipment operation.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers.
- Must tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperatures, noise, and dust.
- Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
Required Education
A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
Required Experience
1-2 years experience in a load out environment. A CDL is required.
