Responsibilities
- Diagnoses/identifies vehicle and equipment malfunctions and determines corrective actions.
- Tests vehicles and equipment after repairs.
- Verifies completion of repairs to ensure quality service.
- Repairs brakes, exhausts and related components.
- Tunes engines.
- Performs routine repairs to automobiles and trucks.
- Assists in more difficult repairs or repairs to heavy equipment.
- Repairs or overhauls engines, transmissions, gear trains, differentials, steering/brake/clutch/electrical systems, power takeoffs, hydraulic and pneumatic lifts and controls and related components.
- Performs vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Brazes or welds sheet metal and various equipment components.
- Performs state inspections, routine and preventive maintenance.
- Completes job or shift report form.
- Performs electronic data entry of vehicle and equipment repair information.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Vocational/Technical School that is eligible to participate in a Co-op program.
- Must be able to move objects weighing up to 80 Ibs.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
