Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload all inbound and outbound flatbed freight, including proper load securement.
- Label and tag freight with correct identifying information.
- Verify materials against work orders for accuracy.
- Complete shipment documentation accurately, courteously, and on time.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service during all interactions.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
- Conduct basic inspections, routine maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
- Support general warehouse operations and customer service activities.
- Assist coworkers and other departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screening.
- Hazardous Materials Certification.
- Forklift Certification.
- Basic understanding of freight or transportation operations.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in workflow and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Completion of all required training and recertification.
- Ability to understand and follow regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to operate all equipment used within the department.
- Safety footwear required.
