Flatbed Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Cook up solutions for our company to support our clients’ freight transportation goals while expanding our carrier partnerships.
• Provide exceptional service with customers regarding order needs, pickup and delivery times, any issues in transit or with appointment times, etc.
• Keep track of shipment statuses, promptly update or address any service-related issues.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with strategic carriers, focusing on contractual long-term partnerships to boost revenue.
• Collaborate closely with carrier partners to ensure capacity, compliance, and performance standards are met.
• Analyze client needs and propose customized logistics solutions to improve efficiency and lower costs.
• Ensure adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and industry regulations specific to hazardous material transport, working with carriers that meet/exceed our high standards of safety and performance.
• Accurately and swiftly enter data for all orders, load details, client information, and shipment updates into TMS and internal databases as necessary.

Requirements

• A solid grasp of a wide range of commodities (including hazmat), standards for flatbed & hazmat transportation, and supply chain management and logistics procedures.
• Expertise in flatbed transportation.
• Experience shipping high volume, high demand, and sensitive commodity freight.
• Experience handling seasonal market shifts, pricing, and hazardous delivery requirements.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Market knowledge.
• Communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Two to three years of experience in flatbed, hazmat & tanker endorsed transportation.
