Flat Rate Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance.
• Utilize factory diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining Volkswagen quality standards.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate findings with the service team.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Stay current with Volkswagen technology and participate in manufacturer training opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• Dealership experience is preferred, but not required.
• Volkswagen or European vehicle experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, drivability, engine repair, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to accurately complete repair orders and document all work performed.
• Team Player: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with service advisors and fellow technicians.
• A Massachusetts State Vehicle Inspector License is preferred and qualifies for additional compensation.

Qualifications

ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
