Flammability Technician I

About the Role

Acquire accurate information pertinent for fabrication and inspection of flammability test samples required to show proof of flammability for materials used in the aircraft during the completion interior installation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for some Quality Control inspection pertaining to flammability issues for the ODA and Repair Station.
• Responsible for some review of aircraft documentation.
• Complete flammability request forms for the fabrication of test samples.
• Fabricate flammability test samples as required.
• Keep accurate, neat, and legible records of the work performed on aircraft.
• Write discrepancies and keep track of all work order documents.
• Complete turnover for the succeeding individual to assure continuity of process.
• Assure completion of projects on assigned aircraft.
• Complete turnover for the succeeding shift to assure continuing inspection responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This job requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working on aircraft preferred.
• Knowledge of FARs and ODA/FAA Conformity requirements desired.

Preferred Skills

• AC finish experience.
