About The Role
The Flamebonder participates in monitoring material to ensure product corresponds to the agreed customer requirements and material meets Quality Control requirements.
What You'll Do
- Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet fully in order to meet the customer requirements.
- Assisting co-workers in machine setups.
- Assisting co-workers in wrapping material.
- Participate in reporting any quality problems to Supervisor immediately.
- Participate in the labeling of any problem areas in the liner and completing relevant paperwork in order to keep correct documentation of records.
- Periodically check the width of material to ensure it meets customer requirements.
- Continually review supplies and report to your Supervisor any shortages.
- Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
- Make sure correct rolls are located prior to running the machine.
- Monitor to progress of the felt strip and change the strip when needed.
- Prior to the run, make sure number of layers is correct, previous welds are satisfactory and make sure the correct number of rolls are being utilized.
- Propane tank weight must be checked on a daily basis.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
- Will at times be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- GED/High School Diploma.
- Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
- Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but could include shift work, weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

$17.95 per hour
