About the role

The Deck Hand/Laborer position is located in the Dunbar area and supports daily operations by operating equipment, handling material, and assisting crew members to meet schedule and estimate goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader and a skid‑steer.
• Deck and unload material from barges.
• Shovel and hand‑broom work areas.
• Partner with crew members per plan specifications.
• Perform tasks of other positions as instructed by the crew foreman to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met.
• Assist with other positions as needed to complete jobs.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a loader and skid‑steer.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Initiative to perform or assist with other positions for job completion.
• Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with co‑workers, customers, and the public.
• Pass a drug screening and background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
