About the role
Fixed Wing Pilot responsible for safe aircraft operations, complying with federal regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and organizational policies. This role is based at Page Air Base in Arizona, with a typical workweek of 42 hours.
Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft independently with effective preflight planning and decision-making
- Maintain extensive knowledge of aviation regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families
- Ensure aircraft safety, cleanliness, and functionality
- Evaluate transports according to service criteria
- Support peer development through training and mentorship
- Assist medical crew with loading, unloading, and equipment management
- Act as Lead Pilot for satellite base operations
- Serve as Instructor or Check Pilot for performance evaluations and training
- Oversee safety issues, participate in safety committees, and implement best practices
Requirements
- Hold appropriate commercial or ATP ratings, with specified flight hours, including night, instrument, multi-engine, and turbine experience
- Demonstrate aviation decision-making, weather interpretation, communication, flight planning, and crew management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate equipment, and navigate confined spaces
- External candidates need specific flight hour criteria; internal candidates require prior employment and training completion
Preferred Qualifications
- EMS experience
- King Air, PC-12, and turbo-jet operations experience
Pay
Hourly rate varies based on experience, from $46.24 to $72.80.
