Core Competencies / Responsibilities
- Punctuality
- Be neatly groomed and uniformed
- Perform vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection
- Complete Pre-Trip Inspection Report and deposit copy
- Report any corrections to Dispatch and or Maintenance Supervisor
- Operate his/her vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times
- Observe and obey all posted speed limits and traffic laws
- Maintain a current Commercial Driver’s License current, DOT Card
- Report any changes in their driving record immediately upon change
- Document all times, passenger counts, incidents, or any other information requested
- Assist passengers with luggage, carriages and other bulky items to ensure safe transport
- Afford assistance to ADA passengers to ensure safe transport
- Follow all safety requirements as instructed by safety manager
- Follow other duties as required
Knowledge And Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Verifiable CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a Passenger Endorsement
- 5 years of driving experience preferred; 3 years required which must be verifiable through DMV
- Must be able to pass a Federal background check which includes lifetime search and fingerprint which will need to be verified by State Police
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
- Customer service experience a plus
- High degree of comfort working with people with disabilities
- Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision-making skills
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands And Work Environment
- Long periods (potentially exceeding 8 hours per day) of walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, twisting, squatting, handling materials, repetitive hand-wrist motions, and traversing uneven surfaces
- Exposure to both extreme heat and cold
- Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and airborne particles
