About the role

The position may be required to work at either our Mesa, AZ or Tempe, AZ locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers feel welcome
• Communicate effectively with passengers, especially during service disruptions
• Provide passengers with assistance and information
• Accommodate passengers with schedule, guidance, etc.
• Ensure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time performance
• Familiarize with assigned routing and detours
• Aware of ADA policies and procedures
• Operate wheelchair lifts correctly
• Report accidents or incidents immediately to dispatch
• Follow incident and accident reporting procedures
• Collect fares and report any fare evasion or fraud
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and enter defects into the ZONAR system
• Depart routes exactly on time and avoid operating ahead of schedule
• Report bunching of buses or other operational issues
• Work flexible schedules that may include split shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Valid Arizona Class A or Class B CDL or CDL Permit (REQUIRED) with Passenger 'P' Endorsement (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
• Clean driving record for the last 7 years
• Pass a 10-year criminal background check
• Stable work history
• Flexible schedule that may include split shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working with the public
• Excellent face to face customer service skills
• Ability to work at either our Tempe or Mesa locations

Qualifications

• 3 years verifiable valid Driver's license
• Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check
• Must have stable work history
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include split shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to work at either our Tempe or Mesa locations
