The Role

Fidelity is seeking to hire a Quantitative Analyst to join its Quantitative Research and Investments division. This position will be located in Fidelity’s office in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

  • Understand, maintain, and improve analytic infrastructure related to the investment process
  • Collaborate closely with other investment and technology professionals within the division
  • Explain complex quantitative concepts to non-technical people
  • Take initiative and demonstrate leadership skills to advance the investment process

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of industry experience as a quantitative analyst
  • Strong working knowledge of Python, SQL
  • Very strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and an eagerness to work in a team environment
  • Deep comfort with applied mathematics and statistics
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical and financial problem solving
  • Familiarity with fixed income analytics

Attributes Strongly Preferred

  • Good working knowledge of relational databases, Snowflake and Oracle
  • Advanced degree in a discipline of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Interest and passion for investing and the financial markets
  • Familiarity with fixed income trading workflows, data, pricing and market engagement models

Group Quantitative Research and Investing (QRI)

QRI is responsible for managing and developing quantitative and hybrid quant/fundamental investment strategies and solutions while also providing high quality quantitative, data-driven research to Fidelity’s investment professionals, ensuring they have access to the most relevant data and advanced quantitative analysis.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
