Job Description
The role is for a quantitative engineer in the Public Finance Business at Morgan Stanley, focusing on building models and applications that enhance decision-making in a fast-paced financial environment. Requirements
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field, or a strong undergraduate background with demonstrated hands-on experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clean, testable, production-ready code.
- Solid understanding of statistics and probability fundamentals.
- Some exposure to fixed income or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience using GenAI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor.
Responsibilities
- Build models to help the desk understand where risk is accumulating.
- Develop a React dashboard to present model outputs in real time.
- Automate workflows to significantly reduce processing time.
- Integrate AI agents to analyze deal documents and flag anomalies.
- Challenge existing business assumptions using data-driven insights.
